Concert Conversations with Sarah Williams
Our concert includes actors who will ‘contextualize’ songs and dances by performing brief excerpts from Shakespeares plays. Musical selections will feature songs and dances from The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, plus inci-dental music from A Midsummer Nights Dream including a suite of dances from The Fairy Queen by Purcell.

A 300th Anniversary Celebration

Costumed Reenactor: John Myers as Mark Catesby
Mark Catesby was an English naturalist who came to the Carolinas in 1722 to study flora and fauna, the results of which were included in his Natural History of Carolina, Florida and the Bahama Islands. Catesby enjoyed singing and was especially fond of the music of Handel.
